I love unexpected treasure finds
Do you see what I see?
There’s a fine line between “junk” and treasure…finding hope in chaos or being overwhelmed!

'Reflection' juried members show KWSA at Homer Watson House & Gallery
Opening reception—Sun, Feb 2, 2-4 pm
“An unexamined life is not worth living,” attributed to Socrates, does ring true to me, although what it means to me now is a lot different than it did when I used to spend time in silent prayer and meditation daily as a 21 year old religious seminarian. As an artist I value moments when I experience something mundane afresh and discover the mystery and depth of beauty around me. The theme Reflection for this juried show prompted me to rediscover a photo taken some years ago in Banff, Alberta, taken at the top of a ski hill, when I caught Bonnie in a moment of leisure. The reflection of the majestic Rockies, almost drowned out by the chalet, is juxtaposed against the natural and serene beauty of someone who seems carefree and content, lost in the wonder of it all!
